Why Aloe Latex Was Pulled From Shelves

Aloin and related anthraquinones are known irritants and sensitisers in patch-test databases used by contact dermatitis specialists. Applying aloe latex-containing products to compromised or sensitive skin could trigger allergic contact dermatitis rather than soothing it.
